When a musician attempts to start over fresh they can sometimes be bogged down by their previous reputation.

Their debut album, the self-titled 'DevilDriver', was released on Octounder Roadrunner Records.Some musicians never reach the level of success that their first big band achieved. The group was started by Dez Fafara, formerly of the band Coal Chamber, as a result of frustrations stemming from the more mainstream direction his former band mates were attempting to take their music.Īfter the demise of Coal Chamber, DevilDriver became his main focus.
